The RHS Hampton Court Show takes around 18 months to plan, with more than 200 people needed to construct and dismantle the event either side of it. Each show garden takes three weeks to build, with smaller ones taking two weeks, and five days are required to dismantle them.
With 140,000 people attending every year, more flowers are sold per square mile than anywhere else in the UK, as horticulturalists and green-fingered folk come to admire the fabulous gardens and buy some additions of their own. The Floral Marquee spans 6,750m2 – bigger than a full-size football pitch!
With various exhibitions, talks and demonstrations on show, there’s something for every facet of interest in gardening, whether you’d like tips and tricks for yourself or you simply want to admire the staggering creations of some of the country’s best garden designers.
